Built by DecentraNet Labs, Oculux facilitates the management, distribution, and playback of decentralized video on Jackal Cloud. This project is still in its early phases; however, a beta version of both the Oculux Player & Oculux Web is available for use. The Oculux suite will offer various tiers of file security, handle relevant extended metadata, facilitate the development and integration experience, and enables people to effectively view decentralized video in any environment. As it is still in the early phases of development, there will be missing features, there will be bugs, and there will be questions, all of which will be resolved one step at a time.

The Oculux Player doesn't completely "re-invent the wheel". It builds off of video.js which is used by millions of sites and trusted by the world's largest technology companies. This makes it really easy for any product to switch to decentralized storage with little to no changes in their software. Only MP4 and MOV files are eligible for playback which is also the case on most web browsers; however, Oculux plans to offer plugins/extensions that enable other video formats to be played such as AVI and MKV.
